HISTORY The original Pleasant Lane Acres two room dwelling was owned by the Timmerman family. Mr. Felix Timmerman’s father gave him this house as a wedding present when he married in September 1892. This union produced ten children and it was very evident during the restoration of the house that they added onto it as their family grew, which resulted in the present structure. Felix Timmerman was a cattle owner and a cotton farmer. He was also the Postmaster for what was then Pleasant Lane, South Carolina, which can still be found on a map today. The original property had over five thousand acres and much of the land surrounding the home is still owned by the Timmerman family. THE RUPERT’S SPENT TEN YEARS RESTORING THE HOME. THEY OPENED PLEASANT LANE ACRES BED & BREAKFAST TO GUESTS IN JANUARY 1998.
